Special features of our Heavy Duty Workshops

Here are some of the main features of our Heavy Duty Pent and Apex Workshops

70mm x 34mm Framework

Robust Framework

We use superior pressure treated 70mm x 34mm finished framework throughout our heavy duty workshop. Every joint is screwed together and screwed corner braces in each of the four corner help make the panel solid and robust. We also use lots of upright in our panels, which makes it ideal for anyone thinking of insulating their building in the future

FLB Doors

Our FLB doors are solid and robust. They are  fully ledged and braced and boarded using 15mm finished tongue and groove match-board. The timber used on the door frame is 44mm x 94 mm and all joints are dowel jointed. All timbers used on the door are pressure treated using latest generation tanalith e for protection. Our heavy duty workshops also include a 5 Lever mortice lock, Antique Black door handle and hook and band security hinges.

Joinery Style Window

We use joinery style windows throughout all our heavy duty workshops. A typical 3 pane window is included in all workshops except where the window is beside the door in the gable where 2 single pane windows would be included. All 3 pane windows include a centre opening and all glass used in all windows is toughened

Unique Air vent system

On our standard height heavy duty workshops where the doors are under the gable we include a 300mm roof canopy. This extra overhang gives extra protection for those rainy days. Built into the roof overhang is our unique air vent system. Because we make our buildings so water tight we have introduced 4 air vents to each building (2 either side of the building, in the roof overhang). These help with air circulation throughout the building and are an attractive feature.

Roof Trusses and Detachable Gables

We include roof trusses on most of our building. These trusses are handcrafted to a high standard and provided excellent support and added strength to the roof. One of the main features of our buildings are the detachable gables. Most companies build there workshops with the gables already attached to the panels which provide difficulty when trying to carry the buildings through restricted areas. With our detachable gable we are able to carry panels through tight spots or through houses.
